● The whole mechanic, no fine print

How The Daily Deed works.

Enter charity prize draws, support verified nonprofits, win premium prizes. Here’s everything you need to know — including the legal, the math, and the free-entry path.

What Is The Daily Deed?

The Daily Deed is a platform where verified nonprofits run premium prize draws to raise money for their missions. Unlike traditional donation pages that rely on guilt or obligation, The Daily Deed creates an experience that donors genuinely enjoy. You support a cause you care about, and you get a chance to win something extraordinary in return.

Every campaign on the platform is run by a real, vetted 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Daily Deed handles all the technology, payment processing, legal compliance, and prize fulfillment so that charities can focus on what they do best: changing lives.

The platform was built on a simple insight: people are more likely to donate when there is excitement, transparency, and a tangible incentive. Charity prize draws have been shown to generate up to three times more engagement than traditional fundraising pages, reaching donors who would never have discovered these nonprofits on their own.

How Does a Charity Prize Draw Work?

A charity prize draw on The Daily Deed follows a straightforward process. First, a verified nonprofit partners with the platform to create a campaign. The charity selects a premium prize, such as a luxury vacation, vehicle, designer item, or cash prize, and sets a fundraising goal and campaign duration.

Once the campaign is live, donors can enter by making a charitable donation through the campaign page. Each donation earns entries into the prize draw. Donors can also earn entries by spending Deed Bucks, the platform's loyalty currency that rewards engagement and referrals.

Critically, every campaign also offers a free entry method. No purchase is ever necessary to enter or win. This free entry requirement is what makes these promotions legally compliant rather than lotteries.

When the campaign period ends, a winner is drawn using a certified random number generator. Every entry, whether earned through a donation, Deed Bucks, or the free method, has an equal chance of winning. The winner is verified, the prize is fulfilled, and the charity receives the funds raised.

Is It Free to Enter a Charity Prize Draw?

Yes, absolutely. Every single draw on The Daily Deed provides a free alternative method of entry (AMOE). This is not a technicality or a buried option. It is a fundamental part of how the platform operates and what makes these promotions legal under U.S. promotion law.

Free entries carry the exact same odds as entries earned through donations or Deed Bucks. There is no disadvantage to entering for free. The random number generator that selects the winner treats all entries identically, regardless of how they were obtained.

Many donors choose to make a donation because they want to support the charity, and the prize draw is an added incentive. But the choice to donate is always optional, and no one is ever required to pay anything to participate in a draw.

How Deed Bucks Work (Free Entry Currency)

Deed Bucks are the platform's free-entry currency. They are the primary mechanism for participating in any draw without making a donation. You earn Deed Bucks through ordinary platform activity — daily logins, watching charity spotlight videos, answering trivia questions, and spinning the daily wheel. No money changes hands at any point in this process.

A player who maxes the 20-Deed-Buck daily cap every day can redeem one free entry every five days. This is intentional — it keeps the free-entry path genuinely accessible while preserving a meaningful difference between donors (who receive entries immediately per donation tier) and players earning entries through engagement.

Prefer a purely offline route? Every campaign also accepts mail-in entries with no Deed Bucks required. Mail-in instructions are published on each campaign page and in that campaign's Official Rules.

Are Charity Prize Draws Legal?

Yes. The Daily Deed structures its promotions as no-purchase-necessary giveaways, not lotteries or raffles. The key legal distinction is that lotteries require three elements: prize, chance, and consideration (payment). By offering a free entry method on every draw, The Daily Deed removes the consideration element, making these promotions legally compliant promotional giveaways under both federal and state law.

This is the same legal framework used by major brands for decades. Companies like McDonald's (Monopoly), Publishers Clearing House, and HGTV Dream Home all run no-purchase-necessary giveaways with free entry methods. The Daily Deed applies this proven structure to charitable fundraising.

The Daily Deed handles all compliance details for its charity partners, including drafting official rules, managing state-by-state eligibility (some states have additional registration requirements for prize promotions), posting required disclosures, verifying winner eligibility, and handling tax reporting for prize values exceeding IRS thresholds.

This is fundamentally different from a raffle, which is a lottery that some states permit only for licensed nonprofits. Raffles require a ticket purchase to enter. The Daily Deed's model never requires a purchase, which means it operates in a cleaner legal category with broader state compliance.

What Charities Run Draws on The Daily Deed?

The Daily Deed partners exclusively with verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Every charity on the platform has been vetted for legitimacy, financial transparency, and mission impact. Current partners include some of the most recognized and trusted names in the nonprofit world.

Active charity partners include St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which treats childhood cancers and never sends families a bill; Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization; Wounded Warrior Project, which provides free mental health care and career services to veterans; and Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

The platform accepts applications from qualified nonprofits on a rolling basis but maintains a selective approval process to ensure quality. Charities interested in running a prize draw can apply through the charities page.

What Prizes Can I Win?

The Daily Deed features premium prizes that create genuine excitement and drive campaign engagement. Prizes are sourced and fulfilled by the platform, meaning charities do not need to procure or ship anything themselves.

Prize categories include luxury travel experiences such as seven-night resort stays and private yacht weekends, vehicles including Tesla electric cars, high-end electronics like MacBook Pros and gaming setups, designer goods such as Rolex watches and curated sneaker collections, and cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.

Every prize on the platform is real, and every winner receives their prize. You can see verified past winners and their prizes on the winners page. Prize values have ranged from approximately $4,000 to over $40,000, with new premium campaigns launching regularly.

How Is the Winner Chosen?

Winner selection on The Daily Deed uses a certified random number generator (RNG) that ensures every entry has a mathematically equal probability of being drawn. This is the same type of technology used by state lottery commissions and regulated gaming platforms.

The drawing process is fully logged in an immutable audit trail. This means the selection cannot be altered, reversed, or manipulated after the fact. The audit trail records the total number of entries, the random seed, and the selected winner, creating a verifiable record of the draw.

Once a winner is drawn, they are contacted and must verify their identity through government-issued identification and complete any required tax documentation for prizes exceeding IRS reporting thresholds (currently $600). Once verified, the prize is fulfilled directly to the winner, typically within 30 days.

How Do Nonprofits Benefit?

For nonprofits, The Daily Deed solves several critical fundraising challenges simultaneously. First, it provides access to entirely new donor audiences. The prize draw model attracts people who are motivated by the experience of potentially winning something extraordinary, many of whom discover and develop a connection with the charity for the first time.

Second, the platform eliminates the operational burden of running a prize promotion. The Daily Deed handles campaign creation, payment processing, legal compliance, state registration, prize procurement, winner verification, tax reporting, and prize fulfillment. Charities provide their brand and mission; the platform handles everything else.

Third, the engagement metrics are significantly higher than traditional fundraising. Prize draw campaigns on The Daily Deed generate up to three times more donor engagement than standard donation pages, with higher conversion rates and larger average donation amounts. The combination of urgency (limited campaign duration), social proof (visible progress meters and supporter counts), and incentive (the prize) drives behavior that benefits the charity.
