1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, uses, disclosed, and safeguarded when you visit DailyDeed (https://www.dailydeed.us/) (“DailyDeed”), including, all related features, services, content, and functionality related thereto (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, agree to be bound, and hereby consent to the practices described in this policy. All capitalized terms undefined herein shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Service.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through your use of the Services. It does not apply to information collected by third parties, including any third-party websites, services, or applications that may be accessible through our Services.
3. Information DailyDeed Collects
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, date of birth, and state of residence.
- Payment Information: When you make a donation, DailyDeed’s third-party payment processor collects your payment card number, billing address, and related financial information. DailyDeed does not store your full payment card number on our servers.
- Identity Verification: For prize winners, we may collect additional identification information as required by law, including Social Security number or tax identification number for tax reporting purposes.
- Communications: When you contact us, we collect the content of your messages, your email address, and any other information you choose to provide.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: DailyDeed collects information about how you interact with our Services, including, without limitation, pages visited, features used, links clicked, and actions taken.
- Device Information: DailyDeed collects information about the device you use to access the Services, including, without limitation, device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
- Location Data: DailyDeed collects general location information based on your IP address or device settings to verify eligibility and comply with applicable laws.

4. How DailyDeed Uses Your Information
DailyDeed uses the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account;
- To process donations and issue tax receipts;
- To administer prize draws and notify winners;
- To verify your identity and eligibility;
- To provide, maintain, and improve our Services;
- To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and our Services;
- To send you promotional communications (with your consent, where required);
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
- To analyze usage trends and improve user experience.
5. How DailyDeed Shares Your Information
DailyDeed may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: DailyDeed may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, data analytics, email delivery, hosting, and customer service. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services for DailyDeed and in compliance with this policy.
- Charitable Organizations: DailyDeed may share your information (including, name, email, donation amount) with the charitable organizations you support through use of the Services, consistent with donor disclosure requirements.
- Prize Fulfillment: In connection with the administration and fulfillment of prizes relating to a Campaign hosted by a Sponsor Charity, DailyDeed may share your information with third-party payment processors, shipping providers, and/or other fulfillment partners. These third parties may collect certain information from you directly in order to process prize delivery, including your name, mailing address, email address, and, where required by law, tax identification information. In order to update or delete information held by these third-party processors, you may need to contact them directly, as we maintain only the minimum information necessary to administer the Service.
- Legal Compliance: DailyDeed may disclose information with our accountants, attorneys, and/or other professional advisors who owe a duty of confidentiality to DailyDeed and/or otherwise if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protection of Rights: DailyDeed may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of DailyDeed, our users, or the public and/or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues relating to use and/or provision of the Services.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset. You acknowledge and agree that we have no control over how such information is treated, transferred, or protected by such third parties in such circumstances.
- With Your Consent: DailyDeed may share information for any other purpose not expressly set forth in this policy with your explicit consent.
6. Third-Party Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by DailyDeed. This policy does not apply to the practices or services of third parties, and links to or from the Services do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed those websites. DailyDeed encourages you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through or in connection with the Services. If you provide personal information to any third-party websites, applications, or services, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and subject to that website, application, or services’ privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
DailyDeed shall retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. DailyDeed shall also retain information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Donation records are retained in accordance with IRS requirements for charitable contribution substantiation.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information DailyDeed holds about you.
- Correction: You may request that DailyDeed correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Deletion: You may request that DailyDeed delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions required by law and/or otherwise set forth in this policy.
- Opt-Out of Marketing: You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting DailyDeed at privacy@dailydeed.us.
- Do Not Sell: DailyDeed does not sell your personal information. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide you with the ability to opt out.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@dailydeed.us. DailyDeed will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to your request within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the following additional provisions apply under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to know/request information about the categories and sources of personal information we collect, disclose, and sell/share, our purposes for collecting it, and the types of third parties that receive it. Such details are set forth in this policy. You may also request a copy of specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to delete/request deletion of some or all of your personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information needed to complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, detect fraud, or exercise our legal rights).
- Right to Correct: You have the right to correct/request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: DailyDeed does not sell your personal information. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide you with the ability to opt out.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit the use and/or disclosure of your sensitive personal information to uses necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, or as otherwise permitted by the CCPA/CPRA.
DailyDeed will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise your rights, DailyDeed must be able to verify your identity as the owner of the account and/or personal information you are inquiring about. DailyDeed will not be able to fulfill your request until verification is complete. An authorized agent submitting a request on your behalf must provide sufficient evidence that you have authorized that person to submit the request.

9. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18). DailyDeed does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If DailyDeed becomes aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at privacy@dailydeed.us.
10. Security
DailyDeed implements commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and DailyDeed cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. By using the Services or otherwise providing information to us, you agree that DailyDeed may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and/or administrative issues relating to your use of the Services.
11. Comments
This policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information or feedback you provide to us through the Service or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted to any public areas of the Service, ideas for new products/features or modifications to existing products/features, and/or other unsolicited questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Services (collectively, “Comments”). All Comments shall be deemed to be non-confidential and DailyDeed shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Comments to others without limitation, notice, or compensation to you.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
DailyDeed may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, providing additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
